US AIRWAYS COMING TO PANAMA CITY AIRPORT
US Airways officially arrives in Bay County on April 6th. It will make three round-trip flights a day to its major hub in Charlotte, North Carolina. The 50 passenger regional jets will add to the service capabilities of the area. During today's Airport Authority board meeting, board members planned a welcoming ceremony for US Airways, to say thanks for giving local travelers more options. "First off, it provides more opportunities, more service levels, and it provides good options as far as going to the east coast,"
Airport Director Randy Curtis said. US Airways first flight will arrive at the current airport on Sunday morning, April 6th. The official welcoming ceremony will take place later that week.
